Meet the Team
Dr. Gimel Rogers,
Psy.D., ABPP
CEO/Owner
In life we all experience stressors, hardships, and sometimes trauma. These experiences shape our perception and the lens in which we see the world and ourselves. Using an integrative approach of cognitive-behavioral, rational emotive behavior, and dialectical-behavioral therapies, Dr. Rogers assist her clients to become whole and healed by learning a new way of responding. In addition, using comprehensive psychological evaluations, she deciphers difficult and-or multiple diagnoses, assess an individual's emotional and cognitive functioning, and innate abilities for a variety of purposes including forensic evaluations and expert testimony. Utilizing these skills, she provides training to professionals based on the latest research and mentors the firm's team to develop their own research interests.
Dr. Rogers is a licensed psychologist and is Board Certified in Clinical Psychology from the American Board of Professional Psychology. She is a Clinical Professor and the Associate Director of the Online MAP/MACLP Programs at Pepperdine University.
Dr. Juliana Caro, Psy.D.
Postdoctoral Fellow
Juliana Caro, Psy.D. (she/her) earned her BS in Criminal Justice – Forensic Psychology from St. John’s University, her MA in Forensic Psychology from John Jay College of Criminal Justice, and her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology at Alliant International University – San Diego. She completed her predoctoral training at NYU Langone-Bellevue's Clinical Psychology Internship Program's Forensic Track. She has a wide range of clinical experiences including bilingual therapeutic intervention, psychological assessment, and forensic evaluation across a variety of settings including civilian and forensic inpatient psychiatric units, outpatient behavioral health, juvenile detention, and criminal court.
Currently, Dr. Caro is a postdoctoral fellow and she is responsible for assisting in conducting comprehensive evaluations that include record review, testing administration, clinical interviewing, attorney consultation, and report writing. She also provides psychotherapeutic services in both English and Spanish guided by evidence-based practices. She is currently working towards state licensure.
Moreover, Dr. Caro is an Adjunct Professor in the Clinical Psychology Psy.D. and Ph.D. programs at the California School of Professional Psychology, Alliant International University – San Diego.
Ireland Mulvey, M.A.
Quailty Assurance Forensic Reviewer
Ireland Mulvey, M.A. is a second-year doctoral student who began her relationship with F.I.R.E. Igniting Lives as a practicum student during the first year of her doctoral program. She has since transitioned into the Quality Assurance Forensic Reviewer position in Clinical and Forensic Psychology. Her role involves reviewing highly sensitive and confidential information and assessing for accuracy and relevancy.
Ms. Mulvey obtained a Master's Degree in Forensic Psychology from the University of North Dakota before beginning her doctorate; however, her passion for forensic work was first ignited during her undergraduate studies at the University of California, San Diego, where she acquired knowledge and experience which inspired her to pursue higher education and a career within the field of forensic psychology.
Stacy Keaton Alexander, J.D.
Researcher Assistant
Stacy Keaton Alexander, J.D. is a former attorney, mediator, and adjunct professor of Negotiations at St. Mary’s University School of Law.
As an attorney, she specialized in civil appellate law for almost 30 years in Houston and Austin, Texas, handling numerous multi-party, multi-million-dollar appeals. As a credentialed mediator, she has mediated a variety of civil disputes. She also coaches basic mediation training and has volunteered as a mediator at the Austin Dispute Resolution Center. As an adjunct professor, she developed a lecture on Gender in Negotiation. She authored an article based on that lecture, “Gender in Negotiation,” which is a chapter published in the textbook: “Negotiation: Behavioral Observation and Manipulation.”
She is a graduate student at Pepperdine University in their psychology program. At FIRE, she is a clinical researcher and has co-designed a research project on gender bias in the legal profession.
She enjoys speaking, presenting, and continuing research to promote equality for women. Her most recent presentations include “Negotiating Salaries” for Women in the Profession Committee State Bar of Texas (click here to watch), and “Navigating Gender Bias in the Legal Profession” for Women Empowering Leadership in the Law (WELL).
Mrs. Keaton Alexander is also an author and illustrator of a bilingual (English and Français) children’s book: “How to Pet a Kitty.”
Dr. Michael R. Wydo,
Psy.D., ABPP
Clinical Supervisor
Dr. Wydo is the Department Chair for the Forensic MA and Psy.D. programs at The Chicago School. Dr. Wydo was awarded his Psy.D. from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his APA accredited doctoral internship at the University of San Diego Counseling Center, and a Post-doc at the Cognitive Therapy Institute of San Diego. He achieved Specialty Board Certification in Cognitive and Behavioral Psychology from the American Board of Professional Psychology. He was a Psychologist for the Federal Bureau of Prisons since 2003 and was the Chief Psychologist at FCI Terminal Island in San Pedro California from 2015 to 2024. Prior to becoming the Department Chair in 2024, Dr. Wydo was an Adjunct Professor at The Chicago School since 2017.
Dr. Wydo is also a part-time Clinical Supervisor at F.I.R.E: Igniting Lives. His special interests include clinical supervision, cognitive behavioral interventions, anger, personality disorders, substance abuse, and cultural diversity training. Dr. Wydo is the author of the “Angry Cognitions Scale-Prison Form.” He is also on the Leadership Board of the “Forensic Issues and Externalizing Behaviors” Special Interest Group (SIG) for the Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies (ABCT). Dr. Wydo is licensed in California.
Kiely Green, M.A.
Doctoral Trainee
Kiely Green, M.A. is a dedicated clinical psychology doctoral student at Pepperdine University with interests in anxiety disorders, trauma, and self-esteem issues. She has a strong foundation in CBT, ACT, humanistic, and feminist theories. Ms. Green is also gaining experience in forensic psychology and psychological assessment, enhancing her comprehensive approach to treatment. She is committed to advancing mental health support for individuals from all backgrounds, cultures, and walks of life.
Christopher Grasso, M.A.
Doctoral Trainee
Christopher Grasso, M.A. is a first-year doctoral student at Alliant International University in San Diego, CA pursuing his doctorate in clinical psychology with an emphasis in forensic psychology. He obtained his undergraduate degree at the University of Colorado, Boulder where he majored in psychology and minored in sociology. He then went to the University of Denver where he received his Master’s in Forensic Psychology. His career aspiration is to become a forensic evaluator doing criminal evaluations for both youth and adult offenders. In his free time, he likes to surf, snowboard, and travel.
Emily Cunningham, M.S.
Doctoral Trainee
Emily Cunningham, M.S. is a first-year Psy.D. student at the California School of Professional Psychology, Alliant International University. She received her M.S. in Psychology with an emphasis in Forensic Psychology in May 2022. Her previous academic interests have been in the areas of personality psychology and the co-occurrence of mental disorders, specifically within the forensic setting. She is deeply dedicated to this field and have years of experience working alongside clinicians in the inpatient behavioral unit setting. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her many pets, crocheting, and exploring nature.
Jolisa Johnson, M.A.
Forensic Research Intern
Jolisa Johnson is a recent graduate of Pepperdine University where she obtained a Master of Arts in Psychology. As a New Jersey native, Mrs. Johnson has maintained roles in education, health care, and, behavioral health as they intersect with the field of psychology. Currently, Mrs. Johnson's interests are in applying her academic and professional experiences towards a terminal degree in occupational therapy to engage with a variety of clients in various treatment settings. She has deep-rooted interest in trauma and for working with undeserved populations and building up communities of people. At FIRE, she is a forensic researcher exploring the precursors for violence in African American males. She is a mother, an advocate for healing. avid churchgoer, and a preacher, that attributes her success to her relationship with Jesus Christ. John 5:1-9
